Allan George Marshall, age 80 years passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Allan was born July 6, 1942 in Port Arthur, On. Allan started his first job at the age of 16 working for Gibson Motors as a parts truck driver and eventually got into being a parks clerk there and carried onto Pinewood Ford. He owned Cloud River Trading Post until he moved to Sioux Lookout and worked for Siouxper Auto Parts (Bumper to Bumper) in Sioux Lookout until his retirement in 2009. Allan spent a happy life camping and fishing with his family and friends. After retirement he spent a lot of time with his “Big Baby” his 1961 Lincoln Continental going to car shows and cruises with the Lakehead Antique Car Club. Allan is survived by his wife Wendy (nee McLaren), daughter Twyla (Dave) Oleksuk, son Stan (Krista) Marshall, brother John (Sylvia) Marshall, grandchildren Kaitlin Marshall, Danielle Oleksuk, Ryan Oleksuk and Jaden Marshall, great grandson Wyatt Stobie. Allan was predeceased by his parents Vera (nee Oakley) and Robert Marshall, and step-mother Elizabeth Marshall. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the Sargent Family Reception Centre, 21 N. Court Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Fund. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.
