DILL, GLEN ELMER
It is with profound sadness and deepest love that the family and friends of Glen Dill announce his passing from this earthly life on October 22, 2022. Glen affected many lives in his 69 years. He was born on August 12, 1953 to Florence (Wilker) and Gordon Dill of Stratford who predeceased him. His life partner for 31 years, Mary Elford of Stratford, and her family will miss Glen always as will his devoted brother and sister-in-law Denis and Deanna Dill of Delaware, ON, who supported him every day during his long fight with cancer and shared his final days with Mary and her family at Rotary Hospice in Stratford. His beloved niece and nephew Sherry Dill of London and Shawn Dill of Stratford will always remember their Uncle Glen. Mary and Glen were also grateful for the generous unfailing support of her daughter and son-in-law Janet and Gary Keilhack of Keswick and their children Stephanie and Mitchell Keilhack who welcomed Glen into their family life and into their hearts with unfailing love and affection; Glen was welcomed along with Mary and Sean to their home and shared holidays and their family cottage with Gary’s parents, Magda and Karl, as one of their own and they also shared his final days at Hospice and lovingly supported Mary in her grief. Also, Mary’s son Sean Elford who regarded Glen as a cherished friend as they shared many happy hours together just hanging out. Close friends Joanne Adams, Maria Adams, Tom Lennox, Caroline and Martin Burchill, his Aunt Shirley Bell and many others will remember Glen as a cherished friend and just a really good guy. We are grateful for the care and caring of London Health Sciences Centre (LRCP), Stratford General Hospital and Stratford Rotary Hospice as well as the many doctors, nurses, personal support workers, technicians and volunteers who gave their time, expertise and unfailing compassion to Glen and Mary during his long journey with cancer.
