It is with great sadness that the family of Harry McLaughlin
of Honeydale, N.B. announce his sudden passing on Sunday, November 27,
2022 at his home.
Born in Honeydale, N.B., son of the late Hiram and Ella
McLaughlin.
Harry worked in the woods at an early age, and had several
jobs over his lifetime, such as, Dickerson Mill, Tuna Plant,
Government, Railroad, Spence Tree Farm, and the Oak Bay Park until his
retirement.
Harry loved his children and grandchildren with all his
heart, along with all the others who considered and called him
“Papa”.
He is survived by Debra Hanley, son, Durrell McLaughlin
(Jenetta), daughter, Nancy McLaughlin (Cory), grandchildren; Sammy Jo,
Nathaniel, Ronnie, Kyle, Katie, Cody, Carly, Jonathan, Kirk, Shania,
Luke, Hollie, Nolan, and Jacob, twenty five great-grandchildren,
brothers; Herman, George and Joe, several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his
youngest daughter, Coleen McLaughlin, son-in-law, Carl Omar, niece,
Samantha Brown, brothers, Naamen, James and Hugh, sister,
Agnes.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23
Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. from where the funeral service will be
held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2 PM. Visiting hours will be
held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 6-8
PM.
