Marilyn Gertrude Spencer
Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Thursday, November 24, 2022, Marilyn Gertrude Spencer, age 71 years, of Harbour Breton.
Marilyn leaves to mourn her loving family: sons, Robbie (Cheryl) at Aurora, ON, Creston (Paula) and Sheldon (Melissa), all at Harbour Breton; grandchildren,( whom she adored) Amelia, Benjamin, Blair, Lauren, Bradley and Logan; sister, Nina Dominie at Harbour Breton; brother, Earl Strickland (Sarah) at Harbour Breton; special cousin, Mildred Harris (Calvin) at Hermitage; mother in law, Rachel Spencer at Harbour Breton; sister in law, Margaret Molloy (Garry); brothers in law, Thomas Spencer (Irene), Allan (Diane), Henry, Roy (Suzanne), Carl (Patricia) and Chris (Frances); as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, William in 2006; parents, Harold and Gertie Strickland; father in law, Henry Spencer; brothers in law, Roy Dominie and Tony Spencer; sisters in law, Audrey Strickland and Theresa Spencer.
Marilyn touched the lives of many people in the Connaigre and Coast of Bays areas of the South Coast as co-owner and operator of Spencer’s Funeral Home. She faithfully and diligently supported her husband, William, for 25 years and for the past 16 years she shared with her son, Creston, in maintaining funeral services in this area.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 27 and Monday, November 28 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Spencer’s Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be announced at a later date.
