Obituary of John Cook
John passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the age of 81.
He was born in Es County, England and was the son of the late Cecil & Doris (nee Went) Cook.
He was predeceased in 2015 by his wife of 48 years, Janet (nee Smith).
He is survived by siblings, Peter (Hilary), Susan (Keith Watkinson) and Richard (Jenny) and sister-in-law, Frances Vincent (Brian) and brother-in-law, Leonard Smith (Jennie), of the United Kingdom.
John emigrated to Canada in the early 1970’s. He was a talented engineer at Canadian Fram, Bendix & Siemens with more than 100 patents to his name related to automotive engine emissions.
John and his wife Janet enjoyed many trips abroad in their retirement as well as many camping trips in their motor home.
A special thank you to all of the staff of the 4th Floor East of Riverview Gardens for their kindness, compassion and their care for John for the last 4 years.
Friends to be received on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 10:00 am until the Service time at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Cremation has taken place.
