Obituary of Margaret Anna Barr
Barr, Margaret Anna “Peggy”
Peggy passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences centre on November 21st, 2022 at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Glenn Barr who predeceased her in 2011. The beloved mother of Steven (Judy), Shane (Joanne), Kim (Kevin Hall), Scott (Kristy), Sheldon (Donna). Peggy was the treasured grandmother of Evan (Pamela), Carrie, Laura (Quinn), Emily (Brady), Jonathon (Lynn), Addie (Rico), Melanie (Doug), Matthew (Angela) and Christopher (Guy), and the cherished great-grandmother of Wesley, Taytum, Avery and Spencer. Survived by her sister-in-law Verna Perkins. Peggy was predeceased by her siblings and by her parents Lorne and Mae Burnham. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Thursday, November 24th, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Please know, masks will be available for anyone joining us during the services. The memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday, November 25th, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. A celebration of Peggy’s life will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 244 Perth commencing at 3:00pm. Interment Service will take place at a later date in Playfairville Cemetery. In honour of Peggy, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Perth Site of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
