On November 17, 2022 our daughter, sister, mother, cousin and loving friend started her spiritual journey at the age of 30.
Destiny was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the Grace Hospital and was registered with the Canupawakpa Dakota Nation.
She was predeceased by her auntie Corinne Demas, her uncle Tom Merasty and Brad Merasty.
She leaves to mourn her two children, Mila Ann, and Olivia Marie; her mother Lisa Demas and father Glenn Merasty; Siblings: Reegan Demas, Shayleen & Nathan Merasty and Colin Cook (Cindy). She had numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends including her best friend, Jessica Wells.
Destiny will always be remembered for being brave, courageous, ambitious, and self-confident. Friends and family describe her as being full of energy, compassionate, and full of life. She was very thoughtful and always put others before herself. Despite the navigating challenges in her life, she was always full of laughter and joking around. She will always be remembered for being very supportive and resilient.
She will be sadly missed and her memories will forever live in our hearts.
Wake Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service on Thursday, November 24th at 10:00 a.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery.
