PAYETTE John Anthony November 11

Sadly we announce the death of John Anthony Payette who gracefully departed from this world in his 89th year on November 11, 2022. The last surviving member of 9 siblings. He was born in Lachine to Irene Snider and Stanislas Payette. Loving husband of 63 years to Jil Carol Johansson (deceased); loving father to Michael John, Kerry Ann Payette (Chris Bell), grandfather to Madison Joy Bell (Nick Turcot) and MacKenzie James Bell. Brother-in-law to Joyce Payette, Lise Payette, Lyn Johansson and Gary Johansson and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
His joy for life was always on display engaging everyone with a warm smile and lively conversation. His strong sense of community came from his deeply rooted faith which granted him love and energy to help out countless people through a variety of causes. He was a humble and much loved parishioner of St. Edward The Confessor and St. Thomas à Becket, communities where he found comfo
rt and nourishment for his soul. A devoted family man who lived his life with a spring in his step, love in his heart and a warm hug for all. His remarkable presence will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and community.
Visitation from 10am-11am followed by a service 11am-12pm will be held on Saturday, November 26th at Saint Edward The Confessor, 98 Aurora Ave, Pointe-Claire, Qc H9R 3G7
In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory to the TC Dellar Palliative Care Resident would be appreciated by the family.
