Obituary
With a broken heart I tell you of the passing of my much-loved Tod. His 3+ year battle with leukemia is now over.
Tod was born and raised in Edmonton AB, the youngest brother of three boys. The household was always busy with sports and the outdoor life. Tod’s lifelong passion for sports and the outdoors developed during these formative years. Tod enjoyed being on hockey teams and going to tournaments, riding his bike and later is motorcycle. Every fall he spent a month hunting to fill the freezer.
As an adult Tod worked for Edmonton Police Service and Camrose Police Service. Realizing shift work and policing was not for him he changed careers and was hired by AGT/TELUS. Tod had a 25-year career working in Fort McMurry and Canmore AB; first in the construction department and finally as a field technician. He always said it was the best job in the world.
Tod is survived by his loving wife Cindy (Comox, BC); son Brad (Canmore AB), daughter Allison (North Carolina, USA) and their families, including four grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers: Terry and wife Carol (Courtenay, BC) and Rob and wife Pat (Edmonton, AB).
Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Comox Valley hospital; especially Cancer Care and Medical Daycare teams. Your kindness, compassion and professionalism is deeply and greatly appreciated.
At Tod’s request no formal service will be held. If friends so desire, expressions of sympathy can be made to Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. www.cvhealthcarefoundation.com/giving/ways-to-give/gifts-in-honour/
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Todrick Tod Gordon Dixon October 9 1949 November 10 2022 (age 73)..
