MacMicken – The death
occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday,
January 18, 2022, of John B. MacMicken, of Summerside, aged 82 years.
Born in Carleton Siding, he was the son of the late Thomas and Pyrtle
(Crossman) MacMicken. Survived by his son Miles (Sandra) MacMicken,
Mississauga, ON. Predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Joyce (Lord)
MacMicken. John B. enjoyed 40 years in Toronto, ON, as a police
officer and later as the Vice President of a Private Investigation and
Security Firm. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #606 in
Mississauga, ON for over 50 years. After retirement in 2003, he and
Joyce returned to PE. Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside.
Interment will take place later in Cape Traverse Free Church of
Scotland Cemetery, Cape Traverse. Memorial donations to the PEI Humane
Society would be appreciated.
