The family of Lindsay Berman Eisener announce his passing on
January 22, 2022 at home in Barss Corner.
Born on March
11, 1961 he was the second son of Jacqueline Anne (Langille) Eisener
and the late Eldred Berman Eisener.
Lindsay lived hard,
worked hard and played even harder. He had a great sense of humour and
was a friend to all. There were lots of adventures over the years some
of which took him all across Canada. He knew true friends were the
ones who would have his back till their nose bled!
Lindsay
was a member of the Barss Corner Baptist Church where he attended
Sunday School, Tyros and Youth Group. From a young boy he was a
fun-loving lad. Performing numerous times at the community variety
shows with Uncle Oakley, ‘Linseed Evergreen’ was
victorious over ‘Oakleaf Clodhopper’. He was like
a fish in the water having at a young age placed first in a swim
competition across Lake William. Antics of him teaming Jingles (Uncle
Oakley’s bull, yes indeed it was a bull), boasting to his
siblings that he could ‘lift that’ (but he
couldn’t), falling out of the hayloft (no, he was not
pushed) swimming across Feindel Lake, climbing to the top of the barn
roof, to being run over by a wagon load of rocks (after jumping off
the tractor), these are just some of many childhood escapades.
Lindsay enjoyed sports and for years loved playing hockey for the
Springfield Ice Kings.
Although numerous health issues
plagued him throughout his life it didn’t prevent him from
enjoying his passions; fishing, hunting and landscaping. He enjoyed
the companionship of animals as well and just being outdoors. Lindsay
boasted a work ethic that was second to none. He always enjoyed going
to work whether it be carpentry, in the Christmas tree lots or
yardwork. His interest in woodworking developed from time spent
working beside his grampie Ira. Once disable it became his biggest
regret not being able to work any longer. He took great pride in doing
yardwork for a number of neighbors and actually preferred to maintain
the grounds at home himself. He had his way of doing things. And while
holding down a full-time job numerous folks marveled as they watched
him deconstruct the old BC Rec Center (formerly the BC United Church)
literally piece by piece. In particular his grandfather Ira Langille
was in awe.
Lindsay had a wonderful rapport with children
and thoroughly enjoyed a close relationship with his younger siblings,
nieces and nephews. He had a caring nature and was a great example of
kindness. Whenever one of us needed help and he was able, he was there
to lend a hand. He had a tendency to turn up in the most unexpected
places. He never thought he would ever have so much time on his hands
and would have given anything to be working in a garden somewhere. His
toils have now come to an end.
Surviving is his mother
Jackie, Barss Corner, brothers Duane (Kathy), New Germany, Royden
(Tina), Stanburne, Wesley (Nadine), Kingston, Aaron, Saskatchewan,
Nathan, and Roy Tufts, both at home; sisters, Crystal (Stanley) Leary,

(Jim) Conrad, Upper LaHave; special friend Patty Hamm, Western Shore;
19 nieces and nephews (very special nephew Dustin); aunt Marlene Tidd;
numerous cousins, one particular near and dear Trudy (Jodrey) Rigby.
He was pre-deceased by his father Eldred and infant brother
