Bertha Guimond
1925-2022
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Bertha Guimond, 96,
passed away peacefully at Foyer Bois Joli, St. Louis on Friday,
January 21st, 2022. Born in St. Olivier, she
was the daughter of the late Urbain and Célina (Robichaud)
Maillet.
Bertha leaves to mourn her four daughters, Murielle Rocks
(Bill) of Moncton, Bernice Gallant (late Freddy), Yvette Vautour (late
Jean-Baptiste), both of St. Ignace and Monique Guimond of St. Louis;
her son, Telex Guimond (Noella) of St. Ignace; her 19 grandchildren,
Yvon, Jean, Lisa, Françine, Fernand, Irène,
Lise, Diane, Lynn, Janice, Nicole, Line, Bruno, Sylvie, Maurice,
Stéphane, Chantal, Sonia and Claude; as well as her 26
great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and many nieces
and nephews.
Last surviving member of her immediate family, besides her
parents, Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Nazaire Guimond; three
daughters, Claudine, Pauline and Germaine; three sons, Claude, Henrie
and Henrie (infant); two grandchildren, Lise and Mario; two sisters,
Odile and Julienne; as well as three brothers, Emile, Hector and
Armand.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to
all staff at Foyer Bois Joli, to Dr. Pierre LeBlanc and to
Thompson’s Funeral Home for the care that was provided to
Bertha.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Due to
COVID-19 restrictions, the final funeral arrangements will be
