Obituary of Jack Shiell
At Wingham & District Hospital on Saturday, October 29, 2022, Jack Shiell of Wingham passed away at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of the late Bonnie (Zimmerman) Shiell who predeceased him in 2013. Cherished dad of Jane Shiell of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Doug & Sherry Shiell of R.R.#5 Wingham, Don & Connie Shiell of R.R.#3 Wingham, and Brian Shiell of Shippensburg, PA. Loving grandpa of Teresa & Mahal de Castro, J.D. & Kate Shiell, Matt Shiell & Shannon Wilhelm, Ryan Shiell, Chris Shiell & Lauren Bos, Andrea & Muhammad Zeeshan and Lindsay Shiell and great-grandpa of Isabella, Tatum, Cayson and Gracelyn. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Doris Stephens of London, Marilyn Shiell of London, Murray & Barb Shiell of Belgrave, Jean Andari of Windsor, and Karen Zimmerman of Stratford. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Charles & Pearl (Congram) Shiell, brothers-in-law Jack Stephens and Harry Zimmerman (Georgina), Bill Zimmerman and sisters-in-law Betty Andari, Velma Jacques (Addie), Audrene Galloway (Wes) and Harry Templeman.
Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
