It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ruth Ivey (Shaw) of Maxwell, NB on January 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the Upper River Valley Hospital. She was born on January 5, 1947.
Mary was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Devoted wife of Blair. When she wasn’t cuddling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren you would find her in the kitchen making meals and treats for anyone who came through the door.
Their home was always the gathering place for family, reunions, birthday parties, baby showers and family dinners. If you ever found yourself in hard times you could always count on Mary and Blair to give you a place to call home.
Her passing will leave a void in our family that will never be filled but the special memories that she created for us we will treasure forever.
She is survived by her loving husband Blair of 55 years. Daughter, Kim (Corey), son Mark (Caroline).
Grandchildren Kyle (Ashley), Adam (Jenna), Brandon (Emily), Ryan (Marlee), Kaley (Stewart), Abby, Zac.
Great Grandchildren, Josh, Mila, Elayna, Lennyn.
Several sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Emerson & Margurite Shaw and sister Bertha.
A special thank-you to the nurses of 2 East at the Upper River Valley Hospital who helped ease our mother and her family through this most difficult time.
Resting at the Culberson Funeral Home 188 Connell Street, Woodstock, NB with visitation and funeral service to be at a later date.
