Gerald John Bowes 2022

Obituary for
Gerald “John” Bowes
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald “John” Bowes at the St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital on Sunday October 16, 2022, at the age of 76 years.
John will be remembered with love and laughter by many friends and family members including his daughter, Sara; sister, Anne; brothers, Don, Ken, Norman and their families.
John was born on April 15, 1946, in Ontario. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Victoria Ann Ulan, whom he married on September 4, 1970. Their family became complete on October 21, 1987, when they brought their daughter Sara home. John had a rewarding career as a CPA and ran a successful practice for over 45 years. Many clients became lifelong friends and John was still working well into 2022.
In his spare time, he enjoyed being active, golfing, traveling and spending time with his daughter, Sara. They enjoyed family trips together and shared many happy memories and adventures. John’s sense of humour and sarcastic wit will be missed by many. He could always be relied upon for a good debate or a comedic take on any situation.
John’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Josephs Auxiliary Hospital who provided him with compassionate, caring treatment and support for over the past several weeks.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 200 Boundary Road, Spruce Grove, AB.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gerald John
