Born May 22, 1940 Pierre, So. Dakota. Died October 8, 2022 Cochrane Alberta.
Preceded in death by her parents, Father William Kuil, Mother Margaret Boyd, Brother Stanton Kuil, Brothers -n-Law Chuck Adams and Bob Clark.
Survived by her Husband of 55 years Paul Clark, Sister Kathryn Adams, Nieces Kimberleigh Kuil Coleman (Steve), Amie Adams Mills (Justin), Amber Adams Ponciano (Rob), April Adams Young and Nephew Drew Clark. Also survived by her great Nieces and Nephews.
Karen graduated from Illinois Valley High School in Cave Junction, Oregon in 1958. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1963 with degrees in both Anthropology and Education. She then went on to receive her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Karen’s first teaching job was at Lower Post, British Columbia. She then taught at Cassiar, B.C. where she met the love of her life Paul Clark. They were married in 1967.
Karen taught in Fairbanks, Alaska and was the State of Alaska’s “Teacher of the Year” in 1973.
Karen and Paul moved to Alberta in 1980 where she continued her love of teaching for many years.
Karen and Paul were members of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Banff, Alberta.
Karen will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends
