Mary Rita Antler, retired teacher, passed away in her sleep at Groves Park Lodge, Renfrew, in the early morning hours of Saturday October 22, 2022 at the age of 96. Rita was born in Quyon, Quebec and was the daughter of the late Andrew & Mary (McDonald) Tunney. Rita was pre-deceased by her husband Marvin, her beloved sister Anna Mary Pilon, her niece Anita, her nephew Jim and great-nephew Jamie Kilby. Much loved and caring aunt to her nieces and nephews Angela (Robert Ladouceur), Kathy (Brian Kilby), Lorraine (Jean Bureau), Raymond Pilon (Barb), Joan (Mel Gutz), Daniel Pilon (Debbie), Gregory Pilon (Patricia), Agnes Pilon (Cory), Glen Pilon, John Pilon, Teresa Breen (Mark), and Mark Pilon. Rita is also survived by her many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Visitations at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S., Renfrew, Tuesday October 25th: 2-4, 6-8 p.m. only. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Douglas, Ontario, Wednesday October 26th at 11 a.m. Interment Parish Cemetery.
