1927-2022
Eileen Grace Motton (nee Reid) went to join her loving husband Fred Motton after a short battle with cancer at the age of 94 years. Eileen served in the HMS Victory Chapter of the IODE for over 77 years and enjoyed square dancing, camping, and was an active volunteer at Montreal West United Church. Eileen was an avid bridge player and carpet bowler and member of the Montreal Live Steamers. She was a long-time employee of C.B.C. She enjoyed travel and spending time with family and friends which were very important to her.
She leaves behind three sons, Eric (Deborah), Roy (Tania) and Keith as well as three grand-children Kevin (Renee), Meaghan and Kady (Scott), and one great grandchild Claire. Survived by her brothers Norman and Edwin and a sister Linda as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Valerie.
Visitation will be at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre Dame, Lachine, on Thursday, October 27, from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 11 am at Montreal West United Church, 88 Ballantyne N.
