Joyce passed away peacefully in the care and comfort of Willingdon Creek Village, surrounded by the loving support of the nursing staff.
Joyce was born in Bateman, Saskatchewan on April 23, 1934 to Millie and Karl Wolfe.
She started her teaching career in Saskatchewan and later moved to Vancouver where she studied at UBC, graduating with a Masters degree in Education.
Joyce chose to establish her administrative career in Powell River until her retirement in 1990.
With a passion for music, Joyce embraced her community of Powell River and thoroughly enjoyed her involvement in the Powell River Chorus and the Kathaumixw Choral Festival. These opportunities that Joyce encountered brought her great pleasure and she proudly promoted the beautiful city on the Sunshine Coast.
Joyce will always be remembered for her dedication to the teaching profession. She was an achiever from very early in her life and modeled integrity, perseverance and excellence in all of her pursuits.
Above all, her faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour took first place in her life.
Joyce is in the hearts of her family and friends and we all will miss her dearly.
