Diane Ruth Andrews Lever 19482022

Diane Ruth (Andrews) Lever
1948-2022
LEVER,
Diane Ruth (Andrews) – 74, of Port Williams, NS, passed away
peacefully on October 15, 2022, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in
Halifax, NS. Born in Halifax, NS, on August 6, 1948, she was the
daughter of Barbara (Shaw) Andrews, and the late Donald Andrews. She
attended the former Prince Andrew High School in Dartmouth, where she
met the love of her life, and future husband of more than 50 years,
Robert “Bob” Lever (deceased Feb. 2021). Diane
worked for several years after high school, but soon after having her
first child she decided to dedicate her life to raising her children.
Diane enjoyed being at home with her family more than anything. She
was a self-described “homebody”. She enjoyed jigsaw
puzzles, crosswords, soap operas, dogs, flowers (especially roses) and
warm sunny days. In the mid 1990’s, Diane moved to Ohio, USA
with her husband, Bob, where they resided for more than 20 years
before returning to Canada. During her time in Ohio, she developed a
passion for college football, notably cheering for the local team, the
Ohio State Buckeyes. She would rarely miss a game on TV, and you could
be sure the neighbours heard her cheers on every successful play! She
is survived by her children, Michael (Shauna), Cambridge-Narrows, NB;
and Timothy, Port Williams, NS; grandchildren, Ava and Elissa; mother,
Barbara Andrews (Shaw); siblings, twin brother David, and Kevin;
nephews and nieces, Shane, Jason, Daniel, Rebekah, Jessica, Marie,
Nick, and Kayla. Predeceased by her husband, Robert; and father,
Donald. Per the family’s wishes there will be no
public service or visitation. Cremation has taken place and there will
be a private family service later. Donations may be made in
memoriam to the SPCA, or a charity of your choosing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
