John’s Obituary
John Joseph England of North Kingston died peacefully at home on Monday, October 17th at the age of 78. Born on the same road where he lived his entire life, on March 29th, 1944, to the late Robert and Winnifred (Allen) England. He was predeceased by is loving wife of over 55 years Heather (Twitchell), brother Lawrence, and sister Beatrice Pinch. John is survived by his daughter Joanne (Rick) Cote, Nictaux; son David, Angus ON; grandchildren Danielle, Yellowknife, NT; Kathleen, Kingston, ON; and Matthew, Comox, BC; and his brother George, Moncton, NB. John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, neighbour and friend to many. He considered his children his greatest achievement and was a very proud grandfather. He spent most of his career as a burner mechanic and driver for Irving Oil. With Heather as his Bookkeeper/Secretary, he had a successful business “John England Fuels” for many years. He had a reputation for being hard working and reliable. He was an active member of the Paragon Golf Club for over 30 years and took up curling in his retirement. John and Heather enjoyed travelling all over Canada and especially enjoyed winter trips to Mexico where they made lifelong friends. He was on the board of directors for the West Kings Arena for many years, and a serving member on the board of directors for the North Kingston Cemetery. Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, October 24, 2022 in Middleton Funeral Home.
