Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Elizabeth Ann (Libby) Stevenson (nee Clementi) announce her peaceful passing on October 9, 2022 at the age of 95 years, at home with her family.
Predeceased by her husband David Stevenson and son Timothy, she will be lovingly remembered by her children Dan (Lynn), Fred (Lesly), Scott (Barb), Judy (Dom), sister Barbara Smith (Frank), and sister-in-law Marion Clementi. She will be missed by her ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including the Stevenson, Clementi, Powell and Lowden extended families. Libby was also predeceased by siblings Mary Ellen Powell and Edward Clementi.
Libby was a selfless caregiver, serving as a registered nurse for many years, earlier in Henderson’s maternity ward, later as private nurse to the physically challenged, bonding with patients and their families. Her independent spirit was a key to her long and wonderful life, marked by her love of exotic travel and simple pleasures like playing bingo.
Special thanks to Dr. Jim McMillan and Dr. Phyllis McCord for their love and care. A private family service and interment has already been held, per Libby’s wishes. Memorial donations made to World Vision Canada would be appreciated by the family.
