Peacefully at Vision Nursing Home surrounded by family, Johanna Maria Zylstra “Jopie” passed away at the age of 99 on October 11, 2022.
Loving mother of Freda (Gary) Porter, Janet (Richard) Leonhardt and Derrick Zylstra. Predeceased by Husband Kornelius “Kees” Zylstra (2010) and Grandson Kyle Jason Porter (2015).
Cherished Grandmother “Oma” of Kelley (Mikko) Packalen, Grant (Christine) Porter, Rachel (Dustin) Leonhardt, Matthew (his fiancée Kayla) Leonhardt. Caring Great Grandmother of Onni, Hannu and Eetu Packalen.
A private family funeral service was held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, with interment in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, Inn of the Good Shepherd or a charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
