Stan passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on October 13, 2022 at the age of 89 years. Husband of Ada Valenta (nee Martin) for 65 years. Father of Brian (Marianna) of Conestogo Lake, David (Karen) of St. Jacobs, Dennis of Clinton, and Calvin (Jane) of New Hamburg. Stan was loved by his grandchildren Alisha (Dave), Kyle (Sarah), Justin (Evan), Natasha, Brandon (Monica), Katrina (Adam), Holly (Brian), Ryan (Yessy), Evan (Ashley), Emily (Blake), Cynthia and Rachel, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. He is survived by brother, John, of Waterloo and will be missed by son-in-law, Howard Walters, of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents, John and Frances Valenta, his daughter, Carol Ann Walters, his brother, Rudy, and two grandsons, Tyler and Jonathan.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home at 617 King Street N, Waterloo (across from Home Depot) on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 1 p.m. at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will be held at the St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
