Doris McKeehan Lusby– of Knoxville passed away quietly on Thursday, October 13, 2022. She was surrounded by family to go to her Heavenly home to be with our precious Lord after having been blessed with 97 ½ wonderful years. Member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Preceded in death by loving husband of 72 years, James C. Lusby Jr.; parents, James and Ethel McKeehan; infant son, Larry Dean Lusby; brother, Gene; sisters, June, Eloise and Nowana; grandson, Chad Barton Jones; and great great grandson, Aiden Isaiah Edington; son-in-Law Joe Henslee.
Survived by devoted children, Diane and Chuck Rowe, Patsy and Gary Jones, Linda Wilson, Sandra Lusby, Kim Henslee and Jamie and E.W. Seals; grandchildren, Chris Rowe, Jennie Escarre, Sandy Wiedmeyer, Wendy Likes, Ian Jones, Kasey Wilson, Justin Wilson, Jason Wilson, Melissa Ray, Joe Deshazo, Misty Paul, Shana Edington, Chris Henslee, Alex Geer, and Matthew Seals; 33 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren who she was so proud of and loved them all so very much; sister, Lois Jones; many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors that she cherished and loved.
Family and friends will meet 1:45 PM on Monday at Asbury Cemetery for a 2:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Kirby Owenby officiating. Arrangements by Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999. www.bridgesfuneralhome.com
