Obituary
Wesley Richard Dixon (Rick) October 9, 1933 – October 3, 2022. Predeceased by his mother Mary, father Cyrus, daughter Vienna, and 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Rick will be dearly missed by his loving wife Marie, his children Donna, Brad, Stormey, Rod, Stacy, Coralee and their partners, 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and a very large extended family.
Rick lived a long and fulfilling life. He married Marie on November 14, 1964. Rick and Marie raised their family in Mackenzie, BC. Rick was a welder/fabricator by trade. He was also an avid gardener and could build anything he put his mind to. After retiring, they moved to the beautiful Salmon Valley in Silver Creek, BC to be closer to family and to escape the cold winters. Rick will be remembered for his sharp memory, quick wit, and great sense of humour. We are comforted knowing that he is no longer bound to this earth in a body that could no longer serve him but is now free to feel the heavenly air fill him with renewed life.
We would like to invite anyone who would like to celebrate his life with us to Bowers Funeral Home in Salmon Arm BC, Saturday, October 8th at 1:00 pm. A private viewing is available between 10:00 and 11:30 if you would like a private moment to say goodbye.
