Barnes– Peacefully at North Lambtonn Lodge, Forest on Tuesday October 4, 2022. Shirley Jean Barnes, age 97 years formerly of Courtright. Beloved wife of the late Harold Barnes (2003). Much loved mother of Suzette Harbarenko and her husband Richard of Thedford. Much loved grandmother of Rick and his wife Cheri-anne of London and Corey and his wife Crystal of Woodstock. Cherished great-grandmother of Colten, Mikayla, Noelle and Sawyer. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Shirley was predeceased by; her brothers, Jack “Guinea” Waybrant, Alex Waybrant and Wilton Waybrant and by her sister, Margaret “Hobie” Muxlow. Shirley enjoyed her many years as a school bus driver for the kids at Mooretown Public School. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Saturday October 8, 2022 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. where a funeral service will follow with Rev. Gabrielle Heidinger officiating. Cremation has already taken place and the interment of cremated remains will follow the service. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Courtright United Church, Alzheimer Society or the charity of one’s choice.
