Obituary of Madeline Theresa Meyers
Meyers Madeline T (Green)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Madeline passed away in the QEII on the 19th of January 2022 at the age of 83. Mom was born the 14th of November 1938 in Halifax to the late Edward and Evelyn Green the oldest of 7 children.
Madeline worked at Sears for 15 years. She was an avid knitter and loved to crochet and cross stitch. Over the years she made so many baby sets and blankets and anyone that came over to visit would go home with a gift. Mom was kind-hearted, full of life, and always had the biggest smile and heart-warming laugh. She loved to garden and some of the funniest camping trips will be treasured always. She had many wonderful lifelong friends, two especially, Pat and Sis. She was well loved and will be dearly missed.
We want to thank all the nurses and doctors on floor 8.2 for all the wonderful care they gave her, making her comfortable until Dad took her home.
Madeline is survived by her children Joanne (Greg), Ron (Janine), Darrell (Butchie), Sandy (Ted), Christine (Phillip), Shawn (Shelly) Derek; sixteen Grandchildren, and eleven Great grand-children; Sisters Sandy (Milt), Diane, Donna (David), Cheryl (Guy) and Brother-in-law Mike.
As well as her parents Madeline was predeceased by her husband Ronald and sister Carolyn.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walkers Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be held later.
Donation in her memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Online condolences and memories can left on the ‘Tribute Wall’ located in the sidebar.
