Walter David Rose October 2 2022

Obituary
Rose, Walter David – Peacefully passed on Sunday October 2 nd , 2022, in his 74th year at the Bethell
Hospice in Inglewood. Walter was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Gorman) for 47 years. He was
the devoted father of Krista (Jeremy Johnston) and Stephanie (Brad Robertson) and proud Poppy of
Liam, Noah, Rosie and Logan, who brought endless joy to his life. Walter will be sadly missed by his
family and many friends.
At an early age Walter had a love of cars and developed expertise in many trades for which he would be
the first to help out friends or family members with any project. Walter was a perfectionist, had a keen
eye for detail and could think outside the box to fix or build anything. Walter was the life of the party
and the best conversationalist. After retiring at the age of 67 his joys became traveling, working around
the house, relaxing with family in his backyard oasis and spending as much time as possible with his
beloved grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Thursday
October 6 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Celebration of life will be held in the chapel on Friday October 7 th , 2022
at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions in Walter’s memory may be directed to Bethell Hospice or the
Canadian Cancer Society. To send expressions of sympathy, and to livestream the Celebration of life,
