Mr. Terry Dale Sherwood of Innisfail, Alberta passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the age of 70 years. Terry was born on February 3, 1952 at Innisfail, Alberta and was the second of three children born to Vernon and Hazel Sherwood. Terry was a rascal and trickster at an early age. He was known to pull pigtails if the girls had red hair, take a smoke if no one was watching, or take a sip out of a beer bottle. As he got older, he was a free spirit and liked to do what he wanted to. Terry worked as a fencer for twenty years or more; then, he worked as a Mason in Calgary, Alberta, until he retired. He was a good worker. His boss used to say, “Terry is salt of the earth.”. When Terry had the money, he was very generous. He enjoyed working with his coworkers and roommates and having a beer with his friends after work. Terry will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Robert, his sister, Judith and his good friends, Mark, Robbie, and George. He was predeceased by his father, Vernon in 1972 and his mother, Hazel in 1999. As a family, we would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the emergency doctors, staff, and paramedics at the Innisfail Health Centre for their expert care and compassion given to Terry. We would also like to thank the I.C.U. doctors and staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for their compassion and excellent care given to Terry, and for making his final days more comfortable. Thank you for making a bad situation easier for us to handle. We won’t forget your kindness. At Terry’s request, a Funeral Service will not be held. A Private Family Interment will take place at the Innisfail, Cemetery, Innisfail, Alberta. If friends desire, please have a beer and toast to Terry, he would have liked that.
