Richard Proulx
In loving memory of Richard, who passed away on September 27, 2022 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Suzanne (née Deschamps) Proulx of Val Thérèse. Loving father of Alain Proulx of Ottawa, Gilles Proulx (Natalie) of Val Thérèse and grandfather of Tyson Proulx. Son of the late Alphonse and Cécile Proulx. Dear brother of Denise, Marguerite (Tom), Estelle (Dino), Rita (Henry), Colette (Mark), Thérèse, Annette (Tim), Marie (Daniel) and has many nephews, nieces and godchildren. A dedicated teacher and principal for the Catholic School Board for 32 years, he had an impact on many students, teachers, committees, associations and support staff. In his spare time, he was interested in reading, golfing, playing billiards, cornhole, Texas horseshoe and spent many winters in Florida. He was a member and Treasurer of the Canadian Club and enjoyed his time at the cottage in West Arm. He was an active Director for the Caisses Populaires for 40 years. He was a Toronto Raptors fanatic. The family would like to thank all the staff in the ICU at the Health Sciences North and to the Cooperative for their help in this difficult time as well as to Father Robert Giroux and Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Parish. A memorial mass will be held at the Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Parish, Val Thérèse, on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4570 St. Joseph Street, Hanmer, on Thursday, October 6 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
