Cole: Robert “Murray”
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Murray Cole announce his passing on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the age of 71, at Stratford General Hospital surrounded by his family. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Troyann; daughters Meredith (Brad) and Carolyn (Robert); grandchildren Trevor, Andrew and Kathryn; sister-in-law Pauline; sister Ellen (Ken) and their family. Murray was predeceased by his parents Robert (Bob) and Margaret Cole of Clinton.
Murray was proud to be a farmer. Born and raised on the family dairy farm, he went on to attend the Centralia College of Agricultural Technology. After completing his program Murray returned to run, the dairy farm. After the dispersal of the dairy herd Murray could still be found lending a hand to local farmers, whom he gladly called his friends.
Murray enjoyed a number of hobbies. He loved to fly his Cherokee Piper to attend various social gatherings, attend a hockey game, play a round of golf and watch BNN for the latest stock tips. His smile, laugh and sense of humour will be greatly missed from family gatherings. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his relatives and departed friends and that they will see him again.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Hensall Union Cemetery on Friday, September 30th. All are invited to attend a time of visitation at the Falconer Funeral Home, 153 High Street Clinton on September 30th from 2-4 pm.
