Obituary
With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother Teresa, on Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the comfort of her home, at the age of 88. Teresa is forever reunited with her loving husband of sixty-four years, the late Gaetano Ciotti. Loving mother of Paola (Carmen) and Frank. Proud nonna to Carmen Jr. (Caterina) and Victoria (Michael). Adoring great-grandmother and “Big Nonna” to Michael Jonathan, Eliana Grace, Peter Romeo, Olivia Marie and Alessandra Teresa. Dear sister to Fausto (Concettina), Pasqualino (Mimma) and Gabriella (Salvatore). Dear sister-in-law to Mario (Maria). Predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Maria Ramelli and her brother Monsignor Domenico Ramelli. Predeceased also by her in-laws Francesco and Paolina Ciotti and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rinaldo and Lucia Angeloni. She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Ma took extreme pride in keeping her home and gardens in pristine condition. She had a passion for cooking and baking, ensuring that her table was always full of food for whomever entered her home. She was a member of the Sam Manson Bocce club for many years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren, and will be remembered as a devoted and loving family woman. She was truly our queen. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Hamilton General Hospital 4 West Unit for the amazing care they provided her. A heartfelt thank-you to the CBI Health PSWs, the VON nurses, the St. Elizabeth Home Care team and the Palliative care team for the love, kindness, dignity and gentle care they provided to her in her last months. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL (43 Barton St. E, Hamilton) on Wednesday, September 28 from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Incarnation of our Blessed Lord Church (Barton and Nash), on Thursday, September 29th, 2022 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Centre.
