Kupper, Grace 1921 -2022
It is with heartfelt sadness, yet gratitude for a long life well lived, that the family of Grace Kupper announce her passing on Sunday, January 16, 2022 in her 101 year.
Grace was born on February 22, 1921 to Herbert and Olga Saksen in Liigvalla, in her beloved home of Estonia. She had a sister, Roda and a brother Vello.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 75 years, Udo Kupper. Cherished and beloved mother of Marju (Bob) Smith, Mall (Gary dc 2021) Accursi, Kai Weaver, Peeter (Debbie) Kupper, Ken (Debbie) Kupper and Tina Kupper. She was predeceased by their son, Jaak (1973), son-in-law Gordon Weaver (1981) and son-in-law Gary Accursi (2021). Grace, lovingly called Ema to all, will be greatly missed by 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
In her younger years, she excelled in ice-skating, gymnastics, track and field events and playing volleyball. Keeping physically active, she also enjoyed folk dancing, ballroom dancing, and exercising. Ema’s hands were always busy. She loved learning new skills and did them all well – gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, rug hooking, embroidery, loom weaving, macrame, making pottery, wine making and especially bee keeping – right up into her late 90’s.
Although she experienced some significant health issues in her later years, she always met the challenges with courage and strength. Her strong faith in God was her firm foundation. She loved her family well and is now eternally safe in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.
A private family service will take place with interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
