Hannah Jane Fogarty Tozer
1925-2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Hannah J. (Evans) Fogarty
Tozer announce her passing on September 23, 2022. Hannah Bach (Little
Hannah) was born on November 16, 1925 in Wales, UK. She was the
youngest daughter of the late Evan and Catherine (Smith) Evans and is
the last surviving member of the Evan Evans family.
Hannah lived for over sixty years in the community of Hawkshaw, NB, a
community that she dearly loved. Hannah was a long-standing member of
the Nackawic Baptist Church. She was a hairdresser and operated her
business out of her home until she was well into her seventies. When
recently asked to recall some of her best memories, she indicated it
was her trip home to Wales with Sharon and Pam in 2006. She was so
pleased to return home to visit her Welsh family, and her place of
birth. Family meant everything to mum, and she was happiest when
surrounded by her loved ones.
Hannah leaves to mourn Richard (Marilyn), Sandra (Allen), Sharon
(Fred) and Pam (Jim); her grandchildren Melanie, Kristy, Michelle,
Michael, Shannon and Ryan; and nine great grandchildren.
Hannah is predeceased by her husband Raymond Fogarty; her second
husband Emery Tozer; her beloved grandson Mark Corey and her five
sisters.
Although there is no visitation, friends and family are welcome to
attend a funeral service at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive,
Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11 am with Rev. Paul
Thompson officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home
dining room. Interment at Otis Cemetery.
Remembrances can be made to the Nackawic Area Wellness (Lunch Bucket
Program), NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
Thank you to the staff at MacLeod Riverside Court for mum’s care
as her health declined. Special thanks to the nursing care mum
received on the 2 East Ward at URVH … your kindness will never
be forgotten.
