Tributes
Dormer, William Ronald
Passed away peacefully at the age of 83 after a courageous battle with ALS. Beloved husband of Diane, proud and loving father of Wendy (Dave) and Nancy (Bruce) and loving grandfather of Holly. Bill was born in Seeley’s Bay, ON, the son of Percy and Edith Dormer.
He graduated from Queens University in Electrical Engineering and spent most of his career working for the federal government in the field of Electrical Engineering. Bill was an avid amateur radio operator for many years. He enjoyed curling, square and round -dancing, and was a very active member of Bells Corners United Church in Nepean. Bill loved cottage life and he and Diane spent many happy summers at their cottage on Gananoque Lake.
The family would like to thank Dr. Acharya and all of the wonderful and caring staff on 5 North at Saint Vincent Hospital, who provided exceptional care for Bill over the past six years.
