Chef des pompiers à la retraite Canton de Hawkesbury Est
Est décédé paisiblement à l’âge de 79 ans entouré de sa famille suite à une dure bataille contre le cancer le dimanche 16 janvier 2022 à l’Hôpital Général de Hawkesbury. Il était le fils de feu d’Hilaire Sauvé et de feu Hermeline Binette. Tendre époux de Shirley (née Leinweber). Père bien aimé de Karina et Mélissa (Tom Kobylecki). Le Papi adoré de Simon et d’Olivia. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses frères: Robert (Geta Catrinoiu) et Richard (Ginette Leduc). Il est précédé par ses frères Jean-Guy (feu Thérèse St-Denis) et Ronald (Micheline Carrière). Il laisse également dans le deuil ses belles-sœurs Gloria Leinweber (Jacques Drouin), Suzanne Leinweber-Levac (Claude Côté) et son beau-frère John Leinweber (Beverly Hurst) et de nombreux neveux et nièces, cousins et cousines.
Un merci très spécial à toute l’équipe du département de l’urgence de l’Hôpital Général de Hawkesbury pour leur soutien et leur compassion. La famille aimerait remercier particulièrement les docteurs Laviolette, Borduas et Allard ainsi que les infirmiers et les infirmières.
On se rappellera d’Yvon comme un homme aimable, généreux et toujours souriant. Il a aussi dévoué 26 ans auprès du département de feu de la Municipalité de Hawkesbury Est comme chef pompier.
En raison des circonstances actuelles, un service aura lieu au printemps.

Retired Fire Chief of East Hawkesbury Township
Passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years surrounded by his family after a hard battle with cancer on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Hawkesbury General Hospital. He was the son of the late Hilaire Sauvé and the late Hermeline Binette. Beloved husband of Shirley (née Leinweber). Loving father of Karina and Mélissa (Tom Kobylecki). Dearly loved grandfather of Simon and Olivia. Dear brother of Robert (Geta Catrinoiu) and Richard (Ginette Leduc). He is predeceased by his brothers Jean-Guy (late Thérèse St-Denis) and Ronald (Micheline Carrière). He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Gloria Leinweber (Jacques Drouin), Suzanne Leinweber-Levac (Claude Côté) and his brother-in-law John Leinweber (Beverly Hurst) Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A very special thank you to the entire team of the Hawkesbury General Hospital Emergency Department for their support and compassion. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Laviolette, Dr. Borduas and Dr. Allard as well as the nurses.
Yvon will be remembered as a kind, generous and always smiling man. He also devoted 26 years to the East Hawkesbury Township Fire Department as Fire Chief.
Due to current circumstances, a service will be held in the spring.
