It is with great sadness we announce the passing of
Alma “Isabel” Cruickshank, 86
years of Bible Hill, NS, and formerly of Springhill, on Tuesday,
September 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving
family.
Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late George and
Evelyn (Rasmussen) Morris.
Isabel enjoyed camping, and shopping. She wasn’t a fan of
travel by plane, but would go anywhere a car could go. She truly loved
children and animals, and they all felt and returned her love. She was
all about family. All her activities and travel involved at least one
family member, and the more the merrier.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Cathy Chestnut,
Bible Hill and Heather Welsh, Truro; grandchildren, Jennifer (Wayne),
Jason (Carlota), Samantha (Lucas) and Kristen (Jordan); nine great
grandchildren; sister, Dolores (Ronald) MacKay of Fort McLeod, AB;
brother-in-law Hedley Sutherland, Mount Pleasant, NS; nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William “Bill”
Cruickshank in 2008; brother, William McCormick; sister, Eleanor
Sutherland.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown
Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597
2361). A private family graveside service will be held in the Hillside
Cemetery at a later date, Rev. Brian Spence
officiating.
Donations in Isabel’s memory may be made to the Multiple
Sclerosis Society, or the charity of your choice.
