Edna Lea Anderson Nix – age 84 of Knoxville was born January 4, 1938 to Charlie and Jalie Livesay Anderson in Kyles Ford, TN and passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. Edna was a member of North Knoxville Baptist Church where she attended as long as her health allowed. She was a former bookkeeper at Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Knoxville.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Hugh Donald Anderson, Enoch Anderson, Emory Anderson, and Allen “Cotton” Anderson; and sisters, Mary Anderson, Lucille Blakely, and Nola Mae Antrican.
Survivors include son, Tony (Holly) Nix of Greeneville, TN; grandchildren, Tyler (Tiffany) Nix of Morristown, TN, Ryan (Kim) Nix of Kingston, TN, and Nicholas (Shyanne) Nix of Bulls Gap, TN; great grandchildren, Rhett Alexander Nix and Rylee Elizabeth Nix; sister, Evelyn Gillenwater; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nancy Jones.
The family will receive friends 12:30-2:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home with the funeral service at 2:00 PM officiated by Dr. David Green followed by the interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
