Shirley Ann Stewart 1936 2022

Obituary of Shirley Ann Stewart
Of Foxboro, entered into rest at Hospice Quinte on Friday, September 9th, 2022, in her 86th year. Daughter of the late Charles & Margaret Donaldson. Step-daughter of the late Barton Hinchliffe. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Mckelvie Stewart. Loving sister of Joyce Walker (late Percy), Sharon Richardson (Harold), Ruth Kerr (Michael), Alvin (Jean and the late June), Bob (Viola), and Bill (deceased). Also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Shirley loved to spend her time tending to her flowers, doing arts and crafts and frequented the Wellness Centre, Riverside, and Zwick’s Park for long walks with her good friends. Alongside her husband Doug, she was a familiar face to the residents of Foxboro as she maintained the mail route for many years. Shirley’s beautiful smile, gentle demeanor, and calm presence were a bright light in the community and she was truly cherished by her many friends and family. A private Graveside Service will be held in Foxboro. If desired, donations to the Emmanuel United Church, Foxboro, or Hospice Quinte would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, Belleville (613-968-2273)
