Joan Suzanne Shantz passed away peacefully on Friday September 9, 2022, at Kingsway Lodge.
Joan was born in Stratford Ontario, daughter of the late John Irwin and Susanne Irwin (Delooze).
Joan will be dearly missed by her husband Howard Shantz. Loved mother of Gregory Shantz (Margaret), Charlene Shantz Tepker (John) and Paul Shantz (Hope). Amazing grandmother of Angela, Stacy, Christopher, David, Jason, Julia, Haydn and David. Great grandmother of Vivian and Hailey. Also survived by her brother Garry Irwin (Jackie deceased) and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Joan loved her family deeply. She and Howard loved to travel to Florida every winter and spend the summer at their cottage on Lake Huron. She always had a smile and loved when family or friends came to visit.
The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr Berta, as well as the nurses, staff, and the Compassionate Care Givers at Kingsway Lodge for their kindness and care for Joan in her last year.
