Obituary of Diana Kathryn Johnston
Diana Johnston
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Diana Kathryn Johnston on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Earls Court Village, London in her 73rd year. Loving sister of Janice and Michael Ward and dear aunt of Caitlin and Courtney Ward.
Diana was an inspiration to all as she dealt with MS with grace and dignity. She was very proud of her work as a nurse at Western’s Student Health Services where she made many lifelong friendships. Her love for four footed friends inspired her to start a support group for pet loss bereavement called, “PAWS to Remember”. A visit to her home was always filed with laughter, joy, and plenty of lively conversation. Her cherished friends gave her such strength and support over the years that enabled her to look past the disease and appreciate the joy they brought to her life.
At Diana’s request there will be no visitation or Funeral Service. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Diana’s love of dogs, donations to any animal charity gratefully appreciated. On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca. McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, Lambeth, 519-652-2020 in care of arrangements.
Many thanks to the staff at Earls Court Village, especially Alina, R.N., Anna, Director, PSW’s and Dr. McNair who provided exemplary care, kindness and support anticipating her every need to ensure her comfort.
