DOUGLAS, Ruth Elizabeth “Betty”
With her family by her side, passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health in Sarnia on Monday, January 17, 2022, at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Bill Douglas. Loving mother of Brad Douglas (Monica), Joanne Douglas, and Nancy Holbrook (Carman), and the late Geoff Douglas. Grandmother of Lauren (Eddie), Adam (Jenn), Jordan (Lindsay), Kristin (Steven), and Kyle (Kayla). Great-grandmother of 10. Predeceased by her siblings Dean, Ivan, Alma, and Shirley. Survived by her sisters in law Rose Stewardson and Jean Cook, her brother in law James Jolly, and will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Betty was an excellent and talented quilter and seamstress, and leaves behind a legacy with her family of handmade keepsakes.
Betty was a loving and generous Grandmother, a talented cook, and was honoured to be the Forest Fair Baking Queen in 1998 with her cherry pie. At Betty’s request, no services are planned.
