It is with unbearable grief and broken hearts that the family of Kim Kathleen Bregg announce her passing on January 11, 2022 at the age of 61.
Kim was born on December 20, 1960 to father Bruce Bregg and mother Shirley Irvin.
Kim was a very loving and caring person, she would help her family and friends (sooo many) in any way she could.
Kim loved animals, cats being her favourite. She fed everything that came, the many varieties of birds at her feeders and the squirrels that would spread seeds throughout the yard for the deer, the fox and crows would get leftovers and she loved to feed peanuts to the chipmunks, Squirrels, Blue Jays, Whiskey Jacks and crows on the deck.
Kim had 2 green hands, she could grow anything and she took great joy in the beautiful plants and flowers she would grow each year. She would harvest seeds from anywhere she could for the following season. The pride she had for her home showed immensely, tending her plants and flowers, many rock gardens and yard art. Her house was always spotless and her fur babies had everything they ever needed.
She was predeceased by her mother, father, her other mother Sharon Bregg, father-in-law Elgin Prowd, and her grandparents.
Kim is survived by her loving partner Bruce Proud; son Steve Appel and granddaughter Jasmine Pelletier. Uncle Brian Siren; Aunt Sharron Thomson; sister Crystal Moen, nephew William Vaillant, brother Richard Moen, sister-in-law Martha Moen, nieces Alexandra and Samantha Moen, mother-in-law Marlene Proud, brother-in-law Brent Proud, sister-in-law Diane Voss, nephew Jessie Voss, sister-in-law Cheryl Proud, nephews Andrew Dolph, Connor Proud, her fur babies Frost-bite, Tye and Shiloh, special friends Pat and Jerry Prevost, Alyssa Kangas, Hannu Kangas, JoAnne and Jim Pike, Jason and Lisa Pike and Irene and Rene Longpre, as well many, many others who will deeply miss her friendship.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private service at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations in Kim’s name to a charity of your choice helping animals or the Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.
