Dad’s journey ended on January 16th, 2022 at 94 years of age and is now reunited with the love of his life, Helen (2014). He will be greatly missed by his children Randy (Sue), Rolly (Janice Baxter), Shelley and Sue. Treasured Pepe of Jim (Krissy), Guy (Martina), Tamatha (Adam Hitchins), Amanda (Richard Cranton ) and Jonathan (Teri-Jo). Adored Grand Pepe of Guy Jr. (Gracie), Kassandra, Justin, Robert, McKayla and Khloe. Proud Great Grand Pepe of Josephine, Gabriel and Reid. Although he never got to hold and hug his great-great grandson baby Guy Weston, he loved meeting him only through his photos. Dad will be the first to meet his new great-grandson when he arrives. He is survived by sister Blanche Marentette and his sister-in-law Stella Cote. He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Velerie Maure, brothers Romeo, Leo, Bruno and Jerry and sisters Florence, Irene and Jeanne D’Arc. Dad was a retired Captain with Windsor Fire and Rescue and an avid fisherman, always out on the waters in LaSalle, Amherstburg and Windsor. Dad always loved making people laugh and always had a joke or two to tell. A loud shout out to his Coffee Buddies! Special thank you to the doctors, nurses and chaplain at WRH- Met Campus 5th floor for their exceptional care and compassion. Also, to the PSWs and staff at Lifetimes at Riverside who welcomed Dad making him feel at “home” and to his family physician Dr. Petrinac whose personal care for him is greatly appreciated.
