Obituary
Edgard Obligacion, 69, of Calgary Alberta, loving husband of Jeannette, passed away August 22nd,2022 after a quick short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette, and two children, Ian and Valerie. He is also survived by his five siblings and their families.
Edgard worked as a mechanic specializing in small engines and created Jed’s Equipment with his wife which flourished for over 40 years. He loved fishing with his friends and family, but even more than that he loved to eat the delicacies of fine cuisine. If you found yourself in his presence, he always lit up the room with his loving free spirit with many jokes and loud laughter.
He was also a great man of faith and offered his help to everyone, including strangers, freely. Although he was a hard-working man, he was also a hard-working family man and did everything possible to provide for his family. He enjoyed having trips with the family whether big or small, especially the skiing trips where he didn’t ski at all.
Edgard was greatly loved and respected by his family, friends, and his clients.
He will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502 2 St SW) on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 5:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive SE) on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:00am Live-streaming* of the service will be available for those who are unable to attend.
It was Ed’s wishes that everyone in attendance please wear white or cream at the Funeral Mass.
