KOCH Troy Emerson 2022

KOCH, Troy Emerson
August 2, 1948 – August 22, 2022
Troy Emerson Koch passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, August 22, 2022, at the age of 74.
Troy was born in Trochu, Alberta on August 2, 1948. After moving to Calgary, Troy met his future wife Hinke and was married in 1968. They recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Troy enjoyed his career with the Calgary Fire Department, joining in 1967, and retiring as Captain after a 34-year career.
Troy cherished spending time with friends and family. From time spent RVing with friends to Nevada and the Baja, cruises to Alaska and Europe, and watching his grandkids play softball, baseball, basketball, and hockey, Troy formed lasting memories with all he was close to.
Troy is survived by his wife Hinke, brothers Samuel and Dwight, sisters Loretta and Jewel, his daughter Jenifer (Jeff) Landels, his son Kirby (Tammy) Koch, as well as his five grandchildren; Kylie, Hannah, Evan, Brady, and Hunter. Troy was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Muriel and his brother Ellery.
A celebration of life, followed by a reception will be held at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 17Ave SE Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Troy’s memory directly to the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society (cfbts.givecloud.co/).
