Agnes Louise Ovens Richardson 2022

Agnes Louise (Ovens) Richardson, passed away peacefully on August 22nd, 2022, at The Briton House, Toronto in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Joshua Edward ‘Ted’ Richardson (2012). Predeceased by parents, Edward and Marion (Pirie) Ovens, sisters Laura (in infancy), Marjorie Knapp and Dorothy Landells. Survived by daughter Jean (Tom) Watson and son Robert (Marg) Richardson, 3 grandchildren: Karen (Tim), Eric (Lore), Gregory (Kim) and 5 great-grandchildren: Cole, Haley, Mitchell, Maria and Sara and several nieces and nephews.
Born in North Dorchester Township in 1923, Agnes trained as a nurse at Woodstock General Hospital. After marriage, she and Ted farmed in North Oxford Township (now Zorra Township) and then retired to Woodstock in 1978. Agnes worked tirelessly both at home and as a volunteer in her community. She particularly enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader all her life.
The family wishes to thank The Briton House staff for their support and the excellent care and attention that Agnes received during her stay.
According to her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Banner Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morley Bedford Funeral Services, Toronto. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St David’s United Church, Woodstock; UHN Foundation or a charity of your choice.
