Obituary
Hayes, Joan Elizabeth – With extreme sadness we announce the passing of our matriarch. On Sunday August 21st, 2022, peacefully passed away at Georgetown Hospital as a result of a head injury from a fall at home. Joan, in her 91st year predeceased by her husband James (Jim) (2019).
Loving Mum of John, Elizabeth (David Ashbee) and Linda (Paul Topp). Proudest Grandma of Christopher Hayes, Jeremy Hayes (Trisha), Daniel Hayes (Ashley Dwyer) and Mitchell Sproule. Great-Grandma of Ashley, Jordan, Brett, and Beckham.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
To Honour Mum’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, in memory contributions to the Georgetown Hospital or St. John’s Anglican Church, Stewarttown, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of the wonderful caring staff at Georgetown Hospital in Emergency, Medical/Surgery ward and Complex Transitional Care Department (CTC) for their outstanding care of Mum and our family. Special thanks to Dr. Manji for her compassionate care for Mum, we are so blessed to have such an incredible healthcare team in Georgetown.
