Charles Chuck Beaudry Thursday August 11th 2022

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Charles (Chuck) Beaudry peacefully in the early hours of August 11th 2022, after a year long battle with cancer.
Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Carol, daughters Jacqueline (Pat Collins), and Renée (Jeff Peterson), and beloved grandchildren Paige, Brooke, Norah, Gillian and Taite. He will also be missed by his siblings Mariette (Ernest Gervais), Jules, Lorette (Gilles Ferland), John (Denise), Lynda (Hubert Fournier), brother in-law Paul St. Jean and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Marie-Paule, his brothers Georges, Bob, Putt and Joe, nephews Richard and Denis.
Chuck began his career working at Kleysen Transport specializing in heavy duty and electrical mechanics. He went on to work for the St. Boniface School Division, first as a school bus mechanic and then becoming the Transportation Supervisor. And so began his love affair with big yellow buses! He was later employed by the province of Manitoba as a Field Officer with Pupil Transportation where he went on to become Senior Field Officer and oversaw many school bus projects and initiatives. This career saw him travel across Manitoba, learning the highways so well he could give you directions to any town and advise which route was your best option. It also afforded him the opportunity to chair on various committees and travel throughout North America. ‘’Do what you love and you never have to work a day in your life‘’ is a saying that held true for Chuck. With travel in mind, spending much of his time at the cottage and his grandchildren keeping him busy, Chuck retired in 2008.
Chuck’s many interests included home renovations, building the family cottage, travelling, golfing, curling, getting together with family and longtime friends and of course attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was also the family expert on all car related issues from seasonal tire changes to deciphering unusual sounds coming from the vehicle.
Chuck was a kind and gentle man, quietly inspiring those around him. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his contagious laugh, his willingness to lend a hand and the love he had for his family.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at Église Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens Church at 289 Dussault Avenue, on September 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local charity of your choice.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Palliative Care unit at St. Boniface Hospital who cared for him with respect and dignity during his stay.
Repose en paix Chuck. On t’aime beaucoup Pépère.
